BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF CUBA,
MISSOURI
MONDAY – SEPTEMBER 12, 2005 – 7:00 P.M. – CUBA CITY HALL COUNCIL ROOM
Mayor Koch called the meeting to
order. Aldermen present: Ralph Bayless, Don
Conaway, Faye Howard, Kenny Killeen, and Brad Bouse. Aldermen absent: Mike Moreland. Public Works Director present: Bob Baldwin.
Motion by Bayless,
seconded by Killeen,
to approve the agenda and add 3a) public comment.
Vote: Five ayes. Moreland – absent.
Motion by Bayless,
seconded by Conaway, to approve the regular meeting minutes of August 15, 2005
and executive session meeting minutes of August 15, 2005. Alderman
Killeen asked that the motion on the Tangle
Creek Park
parking lot should be rock only. Vote: Five ayes.
Moreland – absent.
Alderman Moreland arrived at 7:03 p.m.
Motion by Killeen, seconded by Moreland to pay the
bills as presented. No discussion. Vote: All ayes.
Public Comment: Ms. Annalee Williams of the Park and Recreation Commission
asked for permission to use MRPC grant writing hours for improvements at the
park. Motion by Bayless,
seconded by Moreland, to allow the Park and Recreation Commission to work with
MRPC on grant writing up to 10 hours. Vote: All ayes.
Motion by Bayless,
seconded by Killeen,
to accept the audit bid from Joe Leathers at $6200.00.
Vote: All ayes.
Motion by Killeen, seconded by Moreland, to accept the
bid from Designer Concrete for the Washington
Street sidewalks at $3.00/sq. ft.

seconded by Moreland, to have the first reading of Bill No. 1372 by caption
only. Vote:

read Bill No. 1372 – An ordinance amending Chapter 23, Article II, Section
23-48(h) of the Cuba Missouri, City Code to limit the speed limit on Sycamore,
Chestnut, and Birch Streets to 15 Miles Per Hour. First

Motion by Bouse,
seconded by Moreland, to approve the purchase of aviation fuel.
Vote: All ayes. Mayor Koch asked that they start going
out for bids on this more regularly.
City Clerk Nash announced that
Emergency Preparedness Director Les Murdock asked that his monthly report be
attached to minutes.
